There’s something irresistibly charming about a handmade plushie—especially when it’s a tiny fox with a soft, squishy tail and a curious little face. This crochet fox plushie pattern was designed to bring that warmth and personality to your hook, whether you’re crafting a thoughtful gift or adding a woodland friend to your own collection.
This was one of the first patterns I ever created, and I am so excited to share here for you for free.
***IMPORTANT INFORMATION***
You will be attaching some body parts using the "No Sew, SC Method"
No-Sew Single Crochet Attachment Method
The no-sew single crochet method is a simple way to attach amigurumi body parts while crocheting, instead of sewing them on later. This creates a clean, sturdy attachment and saves time during assembly.
How to Attach a Piece with Single Crochet
- Position the body part where you want it attached.
-
Insert your hook through both layers:
- First through the Body Part
- Then through the matching stitch on the Main Body.
- Yarn over and pull through both pieces.
- Yarn over again and complete a normal single crochet.
- Repeat this process across the section you want attached.

This pattern has been tested and works with multiple yarn types and textures. For the Fox in the photo I uses Bernat Blanket yarn with a size 7 hook but feel free to use any yarn and hook combo you would like.

Assembly
Place Safety Nose in the center of the Muzzle, attach to the Head below the eyes, stuffing as you go
Attach Ears to Head across rows 22-24
Attach the Tail to the Back of the Body starting in between rows 10 & 11. Then continue stitching through the Tail and Body going up 3-4 rows. This is to make your tail stand up so the number of rows/stitches will be based on how you want your tail to look.
